Project Summary
Porticus is a philanthropic organization dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable future where human dignity flourishes. Their work spans various sectors, including education, society, faith, and climate, aiming to address systemic challenges and promote social justice.
The Porticus Immigration Detention Program works across borders focusing on key migration corridors to drive systemic change. Through its global network of 25+ grantees, the program supports many migrant-led organizations, ensuring that those with lived experience play a central role in shaping policies that have traditionally excluded them.
In the first year of this 5-year learning partnership, Nurai worked closely with Porticus and its grantees to co-create a global Theory of Change and MEL framework for the ID program. We also conducted stakeholder mapping and power analysis workshops with all grantees to ensure that inclusion was at the heart of the program's MEL framework and aligned detailed project-level logic models to create program-level impact pathways. A bespoke, low-code, user friendly project specific learning platform has created to enable continuous collation of achievements and evidence allowing partners to upload data in various forms - audio, visual and text. We are working with all partners over a four year period to strengthen MEL capacities on a demand basis.
Client Review
"We are pleased to have Nurai Global as our Learning Partner for the Immigration Detention Program (2024-2028). Their flexible and solutions-driven approach has been instrumental in adapting to our evolving MEL needs. They have successfully led the co-creation of the program's Theory of Change working with 25 grantees across Malaysia, Thailand, South Africa, and Europe. At our request, they also embedded an inclusion lens into our MEL frameworks, ensuring that the voices of affected communities actively shape our learning journey."
